My Odometer stopped turning recently, and following the advice on Clarks Garage visited http://www.odometergears.com

I was unsure which part I needed, and their website did not clearly indicate the difference between MPH and KPH speedos, and whether that was related to USA, UK, or EU, so I emailed them. Darren on the email support was excellent. I took apart my speedo, and sent him photos of my unit, describing the problem. He responded quickly with a direct link to the parts I needed.

That part of the service was good enough, but the delivery was even better. I ordered on 2nd January, and received it on the morning of the 4th, all the way from Virginia!

Needless to say, the parts fitted, and the odometer is now working.

Hi Alex - I replaced my odo gear recently and also sourced it from the US - Pelican Parts to be exact - who stock both mph and kph wheels. In fact, they have a detailed match chart to suit your vehicle's speedo requirement and country location - very useful.

Dave -

Wierd isn't it, that these parts have to travel all the way around the world, and nowhere near Germany. Good reference though. I'll probably never have to do this job again, unless I still have the car in another 30 years!

I used to work for a company whose UK HQ was in Northampton and European HQ was in Amsterdam, if I ordered a part specially from Holland it would almost always arrive quicker than a part sourced from Northampton
