That sounds a bit like an ad to me

I phoned the one in Reading when I was changing the pads on my 996 C2. Found the discs were shot on the inside so needed new ones sharpish on a Saturday.

They assured me they had them in stock so I drove down there. After having to interrupt the staff conversation to gain service I found there had been a computer error and they weren't in stock. This messing about prevented me getting some elsewhere.

On other occasions I've found stock lacking and staff not very knowledgable.

Just my 2p.

Got to say it does read like a basic ad but I recently used the Leeds branch that were very good and got the parts overnight as you can imagine not many 930 parts in stock. I received nothing like 25% discount, sounds like a trade price.

If it’s a new site I suspect it could be an introductory offer but will check it out locally. As with a number of my friends in the motor trade I suppose they could be feeling the squeeze at the moment.

Deffo smells of an Advert, I'll leave it for the mo as it could be useful. If anyone is buying from ECP in the next week or so give it a try & report back.

I have used ECP very often in the past, for my BMWs and my current Mercedes. I've always found their prices OK and quality decent enough as well.

However since they have given the delivery contract to Home Delivery Network Limited, the standard of service has dissappeared altogether. To the extent that I had to cancel an order and purchased the bits for only a fraction more from Mercedes themselves and they were delivered the next day.

The ECP customer service rep advised me that 95% of all her calls are now from irate customers anxious to know where their parts are.

Personally I am boycotting ECP until they change their delivery contractor and I'm telling anyone who will listen in an effort to convince them to do the same. Hopefully the message will get through before ECP fail. Hopefully HDNL does fail.

Credit where credit is due - I have mainly only had good experiences with them.

I guess I'm fortunate in that I can drive to either the Manchester or Stockport branches and collect anything I order. Only once have they let me down, and that was when the Dansk rear box didn't turn up the next day - so they offered to deliver it to my home for free. Also there is always a gaggle of ECP delivery vans at the depots when I go there, so if they have changed their delivery company it must have been in the last few weeks.

Do they do Beru stuff? I was looking on there for ignition leads but they didn't list them on the website.

I'm not defending or promoting them, I buy my parts from those who offer the best prices for the same thing first time round.

If after my research ECP is cheapest I always look on their website first, then phone them and ask for discount, and usually get at least 10% off the website price.

If somebody says "I'll knock 10% off their price" I don't bother buying from them on principle because they should have offered the best price in the first place instead of holding out for maximum profit - and I'm not here to line their pockets.
