Are there any?

I know that there is Strasse in Leeds, but are there any closer to Huddersfield?

A friend of a friend has a Cayenne which is now out of warranty and is looking for somewhere cheaper (and closer) than the OPC.

Don't have a very high opinion of specialists. Mostly they are specialists because they don't really know what they are doing. Some are very expensive. Only a handful that I would trust my car to. Jon Mitchell is a bit different. (But miles away.) Hartech of Bolton have a good reputation. But probably not much cheaper than Strauss. These cars just need good mechanics. I use a classic car rally mechanic in Sowerby Bridge. But he is mown out. You have to book your car in at least 2 months before!

As ever it comes down to what you can afford to pay and who you trust to do the work.

There are a lot of specialists out there who are very good, some are more expensive than others. Some have bigger reputations than others, but to dismiss them is nonsense.

A lot of SYNN members use Strasse.

Not dismissing Strasse. There fine but not cheap. There's just not many others up here. Had my engine nearly destroyed by a well known specialist. (Not Strasse or Hartech.) They got it wrong twice which is inexcusable. An experience like that puts you off somewhat. I should have said Independent Specialists! If OPC were no good they wouldn't sell any cars :) If you can find a good mechanic that knows what he's doing then you can souce the parts yourself & pay half the speicelist labour rate. There are good guys out there. Best found by reputation.
