Hi, I thought I'd share my experience of buying from Germany on the ebay.de site. I needed a new waterpump for my 944S2 and as I moved towards aquiring one I ran into quite a few concerns. Firstly the price quoted through all the suppliers commonly discussed on here was without exception horrendous! Upwards of £300 was the norm throughout UK suppliers. Cheaper pumps were available from the USA but these were either copies which numerous people had warned me about or genuine items that were however not cheap enough when factoring likely import duties once the thing landed on my doorstep! Ultimately I went on the ebay.de site. Obviously this is all in German but armed with 'google translate' this has became a vertiable goldmine for porsche parts. I got my pump complete with associated accessories and postage for 207 Euros. Since the item was from within the EU there was no duty on top either. The seller I used was called mh-teile and seems to have a long list of Porsche parts available. Communication was excellent through a mixture of english and german translated through google. I got the pump 4 days after purchase! Cheers, Stuart. |

The Zims ones in the US are well rebuilt but they have a high core charge which makes them expensive. I find most of the US suppliers of new Pork bits are more expensive than European ones. Be interesting how you get on with it. |

I forgot to say the waterpump is the genuine Laso item. I have seen loads of copies for a fraction of the cost but was warned off these. So far so good with the pump now fitted - it couldn't have been any worse than the old one that sounded like a cement mixer full of bricks! |

I’ve bought from the same guy in the past. Good, quick service and decent prices. |
