JAZ Porsche - St Albans - recommendation

Post by alfalover »

Hi,

I recently took my 996 C2 to JAZ Porsche for a post-purchase inspection. For £90 + VAT, they completed a thorough inspection (excl. engine), showed me over the car whilst it was on the ramps (which was a real education for a 'new to Porsche' owner), and produced a report on their detailed findings: 25 items, nothing major, mostly advisory, but a helpful 'to-do' list. I consider this money well spent and provided me with peace of mind that the car was basically sound, as I thought.

I've subsequently had a full major service carried out by JAZ and had a number of the advisories replaced. Not cheap, but most of the cost was parts, and the final cost was consistent with the written estimates they provided ahead of the work being done.

A friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable staff, I'm happy to recommend them.

Ian.

Just to update, last week my (22 year old) 996 flew through its MOT with no advisories. I did have have a fair amount of work on the car done by JAZ last year when I bought it, including a major service, but investing money into the car early has given me a wonderful (if somewhat curtailed) first year of ownership.

I've done about 1,500 miles in the year (including a track day), so I asked JAZ whether I needed to have a minor service with the MOT. Due to the limited mileage, they suggested I consider an inspection rather than a service, which I was happy to go with as it gives me peace of mind. The inspection, MOT and re-gas of the Air Con left me with enough money for a decent cup of coffee out of £200, so I'm a happy bunny.

Happy to recommend JAZ for their expertise, pricing and great customer service. I've been really impressed with them and the car is running beautifully. :D
