Hi All,

After 9 months of training in all weathers, some 230 training miles and a couple of foot blisters later, I'm lining up on Sunday 19th September to take part in the Bupa Great North Run. The Great North Run is one of the largest half marathons in Europe.

I'm running on behalf of the 'Get Kids Going!' charity which provides sports equipment for children who are disabled or have mobility issues. I'm hoping to raise £250 or more for this worth while charity. I've targeted a completion time of 2 hours or under to run the 13.1 miles.

Make a difference to a childs life. I know you're all a generous bunch out there and any donation will be gratefully accepted. Thank you to the Yorkshire region of TIPEC for their support during training.

Hi All,

I just wanted to let you all know I completed the Bupa Great North Run in 1h 59m 58s. Just managed to get it under the 2 hour threshold.

I really enjoyed the 'jog' of 13.1 miles from Newcastle to South Shields. The support from the crowd was amazing. A very warm, welcoming and refreshing bunch of folk in the North East.

It's still not to late to sponsor me if you so wish. Click the link below:

A big thank you to all who have supported me and made donations already.

Regards,

Ben :bounce:

Thanks. Finished 11,670th out of 39,520 runners. Not bad considering I was a chronic asthmatic as a teenager. Making up for lost time now and feeling better for it. :D
