Hi All,

I'm really disappointed that Ferrari felt the need to fix the result of the German GP. I am a Portuguese Italian and have followed Ferrari for as long as I can remember. I am a fan of the F1 sport as a whole but I do not like to see this type of thing going on. Massa should have won today no doubt. Alonso needs to stop chucking his toys out of his Ferrari cause he got a bad start. Vettel was so busy trying to stop Alonso getting past that he took his eye of Massa. If I'd been Massa, I'd have been so tempted to just park it. But I suppose its all about the 'team'.

We'll just have to see what the FIA (Ferrari International Assistance) make of it all. Massa was robbed of victory.

Ben :(

Missed it Ben. But poor old Massa never gets a break. He used to pull over to let Shumacker through. Now it's Alonso. Probably he gets paid for it. Though loads less than Alonso no doubt. Want to buy a Porsche. Should pass its MOT easy but it won't pull the skin off a rice pud'

Shame it also had to be done on the anniversary of Massa accident from last year. The post race interview was very 'diplomatic' I felt. Team orders maybe come in when there no mathimatical chance of the lead driver winning the championship and following driver can, then yes but there's still 8 more races to go so 200 points up for grabs.

I'm a big F1 fan and my least favorite team is Ferrari. I used to alway root for the underdog, I was an Arrows ( who's owner lived a few miles from me ) fan when Damon Hill was a driver, and FIA used to make sure Ferrari won. As with every sport, how do you prove any rules have been broken? I have always been a Williams fan though.

Just been on the web. Ferrari handed a $100,000 fine plus an appearance before the World Sport Council. $100,000 fine must be like a mere drop in the ocean to Ferrari.

Alonso had his chance at making a pass on Massa earlier in the race. He missed his chance. They should have let Massa finish 1st. Imagine how you would feel if you'd put a bet on for Massa to win to have it snatched away from you at the last moment. Unfair.

Ben

I like the technical talk and tactics but I record it nowadays and fast forward through most of it during the week. Watched it nearly live today as having a lazy Sunday for a change :D

They've been cheating for years - just this time they got caught.

$100k isn't going to hurt them. Cheats should never, EVER be allowed to get away with it, and the only recourse is to strip the two of their positions and points in today's race. Nothing short of that should be acceptable. Cheats should be run out of every sport.

It’s a ridiculous situation. I can see Coulthard and Schumacher’s point that team orders will always be a part of the sport, but that is a point the FIA should be taking on and conceding that the rule against them may not be appropriate. As it stand though, team orders are banned and Ferrari should be heavily punished for blatant cheating.

As Chris Harris (of Evo) said earlier today: “Any Ferrari owners feel a lot less inclined to love their cars this morning? I do.”

Ferrari should take note of how much their actions can damage the public perception of their brand … their whole brand, not just the racing team.

Yeah F1 not as exciting as it used to be, far too much money & techinical issues rather than true on-track racing.

Cars too fast & reliant on areodynamics to make them competitve, results in proscessional & tactical races & not much overtaking.
Who remembers seeing Mansell & Senna wheel to wheel in the early 90's at end of races? Just dosen't happen anymore. The only overtaking you really see is the top cars passing the mid field cars when they've had to start from back of grid.

They keep changing the rules every year to make overtaking more possible but then seem to spoil it by allowing something else. I mean I was in favour of the no fueling this year (one less tactic in race) but why can't they be made to have enough fuel on board to finish race flat out, full revs & racing. Not this ridiculous turn to fuel saving setting orders, then having to hold station or drop back until they can try and attack again later, but by that time it's too late.
Again, these team tactics is KILLING the on-track racing!!!!!

Rant over

I gave up watching F1 completely after that American GP where most of the teams refused to take part.

Seems the sport is only being run for the benefit of the people taking part to make money. They only want the fans gate money, after that, F1 is not interested in spectators.

The cars are now too big and too fast. There is not enough room or length of road on the tracks to allow these cars to make a proper race.

Also, too much emphasis on the so called Contructor's Championship. They should scrap that, as it interferes with racing decisions....

I just cant believe how clumsily Ferrari telegraphed the orders... done with any intelligence a coded message would be unprovable.

typical alonso denying he knew anything about it, to quote niki lauda; "I've never heard a driver talk such bullshit. He has no character"

seems more and more theres no sportmanship in F1 just lying and cheating, how can anyone even celebrate a victory they know they havent earned.
