TIPEC membership: 0
looks like a grudge thing . PCGB have been down all day.
This is what I get ' Provider error '80004005' Unspecified error /js/globalfunctions.asp, line 728 '
Who is going to be next I wonder ? :roll:

Nah, that looks like a .NET error where it either cannot locate or cannot connect to its SQL database server.

A Microsoft snafu, IOW :lol:

Things seem to be getting back to normal here now, when I click on "Active Topics" near the top left it works. I've only been here a few months, but I missed it when it was down.

Still down, admin are aware of it. Sadly, some admin don't have a clue how to fix it! :(

Seems it's not that difficult to at least start to find the problem:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005'
[DBNETLIB][ConnectionOpen (PreLoginHandshake()).] General network error.

This is often a firewall / router issue. Test that your web server can ping the SQL Server (both by name and IP) and make sure that your connection string points to a valid IP address or network name.

I have no idea what you are talking about Nick ....its all foreign to me :?

Don't think its anything at my end as I can get all other tabbed sites.

Lmao, you have no idea how much sense that doesn't make to we ordinary mortals! :lol:

Problem was handed over to some techy people, probably in Bangalore, and it's all back to normal.
