I have been trying hard to start a meet in our local region as there hasnt been an active one for well over a year.

For a month or two now , my other half and I had seen a White 944 on axle stands outside a house in the next village. I even put on the forum " does anyone know this car " with no success so I decided to knock on their door and give them a leaflet re the next 'proposed' meet.

A nice lady answers the door and I say " hi, i'm not selling anything don't worry , is that your other halfs car " " yes " she replies
" can I give you this leaflet for a Porsche club" I say

" We're already members " she answers " my other half was the A.R.O but he gave it up.

Yes I had bothered to check the membership list but they had obviously moved and presumably not told the club

I left the leaflet anyway , but it just shows you what a small world it is when something like that can happen.

Keep chipping away at him mate. Two would be the start of something.,,
