are the camshafts off a 928 S4 like these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PORSCHE-928-S4-CA ... 51909e0021 the same profile as either the 944S or S2, if so these are a bargain |

Hi Lindsay, I am not sure of the answer, but if it helps the part numbers are not the same. Regards Paul |

I spotted a website the other day advertising camshafts for 944's and I am sure they were also advertised as suitable for 928 16v of course. I know the hydraulic tappets for a 944S2 are the same as those for the later 928 and 968 part no. 928 105 312 02 so maybe the cams are the same. |

Just because the part no's don't match doesn't mean they aren't the same profile. I have two camshafts in the scrapyard with different part no's (Possibly different manufacturers.) Which are the same profile for my 944. Got a spare with my new cam box. That would be well worth a try. Even if the profile is different it may not be too different. You would need to have them checked to see how far off the profile is against a stock one. |

There's a pair of 968 camshafts ( with 944 part numbers ) on ebay at the moment.Starting price 49.99.Presumably they would fit a 944s2 as well. Toby |
