Post subject:  Wheeler Dealers 928

We are currently trying to locate vehicles previously featured in one of our production series Wheeler Dealers as we are hoping to film some updates about these cars. We are particularly interested in tracking down a brown 1979 Porsche 928 that featured in series three back in 2005.

I appreciate that you cannot pass on any contact details for your members. However if there is anyway that you could pass on this message and my contact details to your membership it would be very much appreciated.

If you require any more information please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks

Jack

That would be interesting to see?
I cant remember if I have seen reference to it here or on the 928uk list? I have seen something on it in the last few months from someone.

The whole thing is on youtube (5 parts). It was somewhat controversial in terms of which items were glossed over in the restoration!

In copying this link just noticed they did a similar treatment on a 924 so will settle down to watch that now.

I have seen the program, but meant to see what had happened to the car would be interesting.
Also ... I know someone on this site or 928uk knew what had happened to the car?

Hi :)

I have seen a thread about the brown one recently...I just cannot remember where :(

I seem to remember it was up for sale and someone mentioned having seen it and it was very tatty, particularly the interior....and possibly the paint as well :(

I will have a think tomorrow.....

All the best Brett :)

All the best Brett :)

No, there was something somewhere about the car now. I am sure someone will remember :-)

Sorry to dredge up an old thread - the car is no longer in the UK, it resides in the west of Ireland these days and belongs to a friend of mine. It received a lot of TLC from a marque specialist over here recently and is going strong.

Ooops! Just sat and watched Wheeler Dealers 928 and 924 makeover. Now that some pretty inspiring stuff fixing up Porsches on the cheap. I can't see how he makes his money though after paying Ed for all the work he does.

Just found one for the 911 he's done. :D I'll watch that one another day though.

Ben :bounce:

Have watched the 928 show a couple of times. Was never sure about the chocolate colour but at least was original.

Good to see the car is still in use today.
