Apologies in advance for what is a bit of a basic question. Would I be right in saying that a M5 or M6 lock nut bought from Porsche would be the same as one I bought from Halfords? I have no problem in using Porsche parts and will do so as, but I want do something tomorrow on my front spoiler and cant wait to get the nuts from Porsche in the week. Just dont know if a M5 nut is a M5 nut from wherever it is bought! Thanks in advance, Regards Paul |

Thanks in advance, Regards Paul Hi Paul ![]() Yes...M5 or M6 is a size of THREAD ....no matter where you buy it...its Metric by the way.... So as an example...if you have an M5 nut it MUST have an M5 bolt or thread to fit to.... All the best Brett ![]() |

Great, thanks Brett ... I probably have some lurking in the garage then. I am removing the front spolier as its damaged and wanted to test fit the new one. Really struggling to get the old one off. Started cutting it off, but got dark, so round two tomorrow. (Plus going to look at the wiper motor) Also pulled off the side strips. There was some mank behind them! Snapped several of the studs when removing as well. Regards Paul |

Thanks Brett, As I thought there was something a bit odd about mine. I had bolts coming up from spoiler into the grill area. Also bottom tabs on the black grill are missing. Have replacements for it all, so should look a lot better when done. Thanks again! Regards Paul |
