Whilst I was in the US had the renewal through from Hagerty for the 944, £199.92 inc breakdown cover. Last years was £139.90 so a near 50% increase. This is for a 52 year old in decent area with 1 x SP30 in 07. Phoning around it seems that everything 1980 onwards has had big increases & I could only shave a few quid off for a lesser policy, so have grudingly renewed with Hagerty. Mine isn't garaged which limits the choice big time. Be warned looks like a lot are in for a shock come renewal time. |

£199 quid seems steep Jim for a Lux. My turbo with all its additions is only £242 last November and that includes guaranteed value at £12k (yes I know they said yes to it aswell) and breakdown, legal etc etc blah blah. That's with Heritage and I'm only 39 ![]() ![]() Andy |

Pixie that was because you were looking at insurance for a daily driver, mine is insured for 3k PA & barely did 2K last year & the previous one. That was why I was shocked, I only pay 650 on the 20K plus Jag which does 22L PA & is Class 1 biz use. |

Even using the MG as a daily, the Porsche is not much cheaper if anything. ![]() My non standard MG as a daily is much cheaper - just over £300 per year. Suppose what a difference 20 years makes ... demonfish - ditto on traders insurance, I'm currently looking into trading cars for a living myself and no idea for insurance or who to go with! |

I pay around £250 for my 944 as a daily drive. But there are many other factors involved in car insurance. I was quoted over £350 for a Ford Fiesta (1.7 zetec) with half the power ![]() |
