Hi All,

Is PET all they use for parts?
Wondering if they use anything more up to date now which would make serching for parts easier. (Like VWs ETKA)

Thanks
Paul

Hi Paul :)

Yes they only use PET...current version in dealers is 7 , which my local OPC parts guy says is rubbish, he much preferred 6, the version they use links into Porsche and gets prices as well but Pet 6 (or 7) will not allow you to link into Porsches servers for prices but everthing else works....

All the best Brett :)

Many of the Porsche dealers are having to use an extreamly antiquated system because they are bound by their current networks and invoicing software, which results in having to cross reference about 3 bits of software and cross ones fingers to get a price.

Because I am not bound by these networks, we have wangled a direct super flash login into the factory, looks similar to pet, but with prices (in ££) and less DOS looking :o)

Expensive though :o(

But worth it :o)

I agree, PET6 was better than PET7, but PET7 was just a bandaid for some of the dealers that are behind the times!
