Went out in the new rep mobile today. A Fiat Bravo Eco deasel. I have to say it was very impressive. Felt like I was driving the '44! Handled well. Dampers were just about right. Firm but not too firm. Massive torque. Really lots of go. But it still did 60mpg. Just looked it up & it has 215 lbsft of torque from its little 1.6 litre engine. Tecnology marches on. If these things are well enough built & don't start to self destruct when they hit 30K miles like the Fiat 500's & Pandas..... Well time will tell. Havn't had so much fun since they got rid of the Alfa 156 2 litre twin spark. http://www.fiat.co.uk/showroom/?id=3546#showroom/bravo Will need to get Nitrous if there are too many of these around!

You are a man in denial mate. You are definately trying to convince yourself that you can live without your 944!

  Don't have 15K sitting around either! If I had would spend it on the '44 :) (Mrs jj says I already have :( ) Already ordered the parts so keeping it for now. Because the cars I can afford are such total sheds it would be madness to part with it. :D

Talked to the guy whos car I borrowed. It was a special. For a short time Fiat made an 150T with 150 hp & 130 lbs of torque. Thats why it felt like the 944. At least the Torque! Good car but I bet it doesn't last. Too much torque for the gearbox. :)
My '44 already has a few Lindsey racing updates.

Not a 2.7 head but a race head from a 2.5. It's waiting for gaskets to come from Germany! Won't get it on until January & then I think it will have to have a remap from Wayne. (Accountant permiting. ) Will see what the fuel ratios like. Flow is nearly 25% better so it will mess up the fueling. :)

Not Punto but Bravo which is a new design this year. Good to drive not a good car. Doubt it will last the year.
