very interesting indeed,but I was surprised to hear the narrator say that a gallon of paint was used! I would have expected much more than that for a whole car inside and out!

I thought that as well. A respray costs a fortune and if it only takes a gallon .... paint must be expensive!

Brings back many memories. Last time I was there was in 2000. I collected my 928 GTS from Porsche Werks 1 around the corner. The bridge was already in use then.

Good to see that. Sarah & I went to Zuffenhausen a couple of years back on a factory tour and to visit the ‘old’ museum. The tour is fantastic – even Sarah thought it was good – but we didn’t get to see the paint shop.

Amongst dozens of things the leather section amazed me. Seven hides go in to a new 911 and they cut the hide with a tiny jet of high pressure water

We returned to Zuffenhausen this year to see the new museum – wow, what a difference from the ‘old’ one (though I have t say there was something very special about the old place)

If you get the chance to do this trip take two or three days. One for the factory tour and a look round the Porsche Centre Stuttgart and the rest for the museum. You will not be disappointed
