Does anyone know if the Tesco warranty is still open/working? I have tried the site but the link to get quote is dead. I have a Porsche warranty at the moment but it seems a bit expensive so trying to save some money. Any observations?

Scheme still running and very popular, but I seem to recall it excludes cars 10+ years old and excludes 911s?

Just checked site and 911s specifically excluded.

Other Porsches below 10 years old can be covered.

I think the 911 exclusion was in response to well-aired 996 engine issues.

There is also Warranty Direct who do often cover the PCM and Stereo on their policy.

THese 996's have a lot to answer for !!! Stick to the aircooled and it would have been the cheapest warranty on the site.

I phoned today and they say the web site is not accepting any more warranties, but they will accept new policies until the end of this month. After that you'll have to go to Car Care Plan who charge quite a bit more for the same policy. Got my boxster covered for a year anyway!
