Guys As the title says. I bought 10L of Mobil 1 15/50 for the Speedster this morning. Should have been £97.50, I paid £72 with £6 trade discount deducted off the bill. |

Lo there , I have been meaning to ask you guys the following and I havnt got a workshop manual (yet). How much oil does a 951 take on an oil change ? and what oils would you recommend for an 86 951, I was going to keep my eye out for a good buy on some decent oil so this thread is quite timely. 70 quid sounds a lot to me for oil , however if its appropriate to put such oil in an older high mileage car I have no problem doing it. Just as long as it's not a stupid waste if you see what I mean. Cheers Mas |

I used to put Mobil Super 10/40 in the S2, it's a semi synthetic. Engine was nice and quiet, not too thin that it pissed out everywhere and I never had to top it up between oil changes. Unlike other oils of the same viscocity that had been used previously. You won't need 10 Litres for a 951, 5.5 I think from memory the MObil Super will cost you about £45 for two cans during the offer. The Speedster has only ever had Mobil 1 and although it costs a few quid, I beleive it's worth it. |

TBH I'd probably run a Turbo on synthetic rather than semi. But I wouldn't use Mobil 1 probably Halfords synth 10/40 bought in bulk. Halfords is made by Esso so is pretty good. They have deals on every now & then. |
