Post subject:  Two question - not related whatsoever!

I wonder if the combined brains on this site could recommend either of the following...?

1. Looking for a good music MP3 download site - doesnt have to be free but not a rip off !
2. Also looking at a portable (between cars) sat nav - dont need top of the range price points but something that is easy to use and will get me there....TOM TOM one seems ok, but anyone know of a better value one?

So any help would be great - even if the questions have nothing to do with them.

I've just bought a Garmin Nuvi 610T to replace my old StreetPilot. I paid £199 from Comet and it includes free subscription to Traffic Master for life which gives traffic updates and allows the unit to divert you off the planned route if required. It also has Blue Tooth for my moblie and it can store MP3 tracks and play them back through the car stereo via a built in FM transmitter.

I've only used it once so far but it seems quite a bit quicker than my old unit.

People have told me that Limewire is quite good, not that I'd use it off course  http://www.limewire.com

Although their customer support is a pain the Tom Tom product seems to be the best, we have 4 here between the 2 of us.

It very much depends on your taste in music I suppose. I use and heartily recommend EMusic.co.uk, which is brought to you by the people behind AllMusic.com - an excellent internet music resource. I pay £15 for 80 downloads a month - there are a number of subscription plans for more and for less than that.
I use the site mainly for indie music - if you're looking for the latest Madonna album you're not going to find it here. They also have an excellent selection of jazz and classical, plus folk and blues.
The tracks are all rights-free so you can use them anywhere, and are ripped using high quality variable bit rate.
If I can find your email address I'll send you a link to it, as I get a kick-back for new joiners! :-)

Best I've used is Tom Tom but the older models without 3D mapping are the best. You don't need 3D maps & they cost more. (Doesn't matter if they don't have European maps as you can add them later on an SD card.) £136 on Dabs at the moment (4SJ818 quick links)
