Rachael Bower was the wife of James Bower, we have known James for 3 years since we moved to Harrogate, Bowers is our favourite restaurant in town and several TIPEC members have dined there. I can not think of anything else to say just read the rest

As some of you already know, Rachael was 7 months pregnant when she was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer.What should have been a happy time, was tarnished with worry and uncertainty. After the premature birth of our beautiful daughter Imogen, Rachael immediately started treatment for her condition. Unfortunately, the Cancer was a very aggressive form and was always one step ahead of us.

Rachael lost her fight one month before Imogen's first birthday.

Having several stays at St. Michael's, we became very close to all the Doctors and nursing staff who's compassion and dedication to their patients cannot be put into words. Rachael always said, she just felt so safe there.

The work of the hospice and of the staff within it, is something that most people simply take for granted. With statistics for cancer on the rise, the chances are that unfortunately we may all know a loved one who one day will need the facilities and care that the Hospice provides.

It doesn't matter how small your donation is....just give what you can so future patients can have the dignity and care that this organisation provides
