Supposedly, it's not too bad getting it done without anesthetic. My dad has now had 2 root canals done without due to how much easier it is after. Not sure how I'd feel about that, but I didn't have any on my single filling and that was fine. Certainly nicer than when I did have anesthic to have a baby tooth pulled. |

Lindsay were you the generation that got fluoride or just blessed with good teeth? One filling at your (ahem) age is good going. |

I've got fluoride stains all over my teeth, hideous. Lindsay, if it still hurts take paracetamol every 4 hours, and ibuprofen every 4 (staggering so you take something every two) works wonders. I had a wisdom tooth out 2 weeks ago and was off my face for days on this! |

My dentist is a great guy – until recently he drove a ’73 RS as his daily!! I’ve had loads of fillings due to far too many extra strong mints over the years. Every time I go to the dentist he blanks the appointment following mine which would be pretty cool cos we hava good chat about our cars. Trouble is I’m usually still numb from the injections they give you and end up dribbling all down my top. I’m sure the dentist thinks I’m dribbling and drooling over the fact he has an RS. Anyway, I saw him at Gaydon and the car is in for resto – like serious resto. He’s driving a 968CS at the mo. I expect he wants me back in very soon. Not for a chat but to extract a rotten tooth or two followed by the bit that really really hurts what ever anaesthetic – extracting the cash to cover the fee!! He’d better let me have a go in his car when its done cos frankly I have paid for a good part of the resto over the years!! |

If your dentist charges anything like my dentist you have probably paid for his car and the gas that goes in it, as well as the gas he pumped into patients I reckon it's about time he returned the favour and paid out a few quid to join Cental Region. What do you reckon |
