A little short notice I'm afraid

PH partners Petrolhead Nirvana have been helping to organise the ultimate 'Dads Day Out' and it's all in the name of charity.
The event will be held at Dunsfold Park, the home of the Top Gear test track, where you’ll be able to admire a collection of classic, rare and exotic cars whilst helping out the Children’s Trust.

As you’d expect there will be plenty to keep you entertained, including passenger rides in a Ferrari or Lamborghini around the Top Gear test track in return for a £15 donation to the Children’s Trust.

But that’s not all; there’ll also be a live band, fire engine rides to keep you (and the kids) entertained and a host of interesting stands and stalls to look around.

The event will be run in conjunction with Club Scuderia – The Ferrari Enthusiasts’ Club, so you can be sure to see some interesting and special machinery on display and in the event’s free car park. As there is so much parking space available it’s a great opportunity for PH’ers to enjoy a weekend meet but with lots of other things to do while you are there.

This event will take place on Saturday May 16th from 10am till 4.30pm.

Tickets for the event should be booked in advance through the Children’s Trust website –www.thechildrenstrust.org.uk/dadsdayout

A Family Ticket will set you back just £12, but if you can’t get everyone along entry is £5 for adults and £2 for children.

Remember its all for a good cause, and we look forward to seeing you there.

The event has just been featured in the Sunday Times and there have been a couple of changes to make sure we can cope with expected numbers.

You will need to buy tickets in advance from the trust to be sure of entry as it is now distinctly possible they may sell out. (parking is free or rather is not charged once you enter, you just have to pay to get into the event)

The advance booking for passenger rides has now closed, there are a few available on the day but it will be first come, first served (this includes the Blue Ribband rides which have not been pre sold either)

As for the PH car park and sepearate entrance, this is still in place, but the seperate entrance will now only be open until 10am due to expected numbers. after this time it will be in use by the Fire Engine/double decker so will be closed to the public.

so if you want to beat the queue make sure you arrive before 10am and use the 'Compass Gate' entrance which is to the South East of the boundary at Alfold Crossways and ask for directions to the Pistonheads parking area.

after 10am you will have to use the public entrance which will be subject to fairly long queues but the PH car park will still be open, just the entrance closed.

Also if you have booked rides please make sure you preent yourself for signing in at least 30 minutes before the time to make sure you dont miss out.

Due to the tight schedule we need to make sure everyone hits their slot. If you are late we cant guarantee you'll get a later slot as that will mean someone else may miss out.
