When I bought the 944 it came with only one plip for the remote. On investigation it is a Meta T999 Cat 1 alarm made in italy & installed in 1991!
Plips are available but are 40 quid each & I was reluctant to spend that on an old system. I was resigning myself to paying 300 or so to get it ripped & replaced. To compound the problem the plip had broken its link to a key ring & I was scared of losing it, bypassing a Cat 1 alarm at the side of the road won't be a trivial bit of work.
On E Bay the other day someone was selling the identical plips from a toyota for 14.99 the two. Just got them reset thealarm & made it learn the plips & it all now works, three working plips!
It also means that I can give Becky a spare set of keys when we'reout & she can let herself in...
