Hi :)

I have read that thread on PH as well, with people blaming Frontpage etc...

Its not as easy as that though as I think the hosting server was hacked...

The main problem in this is that there is only so much you can do....because it totally depends on the skill of the "hacker"

As an example, a friend of mine called Paul whom I have known for over 20 years can hack ANYTHING ....I kid you not....even the Pentagon or places like it....

Hes a consultant for people like Norton and Microsoft and advises them on security problems etc....

He is honest and would never hack anyone....which is a good job as there is no protection against guys like him...... at the other end of the scale there are "scripters" who download a program which can run scripts against badly protected sites and get in and alter things....they are not very bright and usually its a sort of net vandalism...

So no protection is total, its a matter of degree and common sense....

All the best Brett :)

What is the point of hacking a normal site like 911virgin?

Do they just do it for kicks like a sort of vandalism?

I think the reason is in the site title :?:
We used to have all the Hi-fi websites hacked and links to 'male interest' sites posted on the front pages. We just ended up spending a fortune on internet security for the all the websites. Maybe Bill Gates is paying the hackers to further his fortune :!:
