RIP indeed.
Sad day with Sir Stirling Moss & Tim Brooke-Taylor passing away. Here is a picture of Sir Stirling Moss & Dennis Jenkinsons Mille Miglia car that won in 55. This was at Le Mans Classic 2010. Multi million pound car just parked in the paddock no one around it!

R.I.P Sir Stirling, a group of us paid homage to his great drive of 1955 and completed a couple of sections of that years route. :angel7:

Tim Brooke Taylor used to come into Cherwell Valley, a really nice guy.

I met Sir Stirling years ago doing his shopping! He was a little confused by as he put it, 'the chicanery' of the queuing system we had in place at the time. Needless to say, I made sure he didn't have to negotiate it! Thanked me afterwards and even gave me his autograph - I will always treasure that memory and his autograph.

Unequivocally the best driver never to win the F1 championship.

They say you should never meet your heroes - bloody glad I did!

We were lucky enough to meet Sir Stirling and Lady Susie at a Prescott charity event in 2011 - Sir Stirling offered to drive 50 owners cars up the hill for a donation - he was still in recovery from his fall down the lift shaft at his home and his mobility was still impaired but he seemed to enjoy the day, although removing him from a GT40 replica was interesting. Lovely man, very approachable and down to earth.

Here are a coupe of pictures of Sir Stirling being coached by Pete Mack :-)
