most useful link I've clicked for weeks...

I thought that midland helicopters had gone bust (bought mine from there) so to see there advertisment was a great relief

What you got Gary? Just started playing with some small co-axial helis & getting the urge to get the fixed wing stuff sorted.

I've had a Robe for a fair few years..
Trouble is I got so busy I hadn't got time to use it, the usual story of flat battery that needed charging so never got round to it..

With a slow up I might have time to get back into it... engine and carb were seized, parts for the carb alone made it cheaper to buy a new engine.

The unit next door to mine sells helis and parts- high grade only!!- but I pop in to drool

Yup had the same thing when I went back to flying a couple of years ago. Found it worth buying a battery charger/cycler as some of them were OK after a couple of cycles.
Have several fixed wings & aside from the co ax stuff have an MFA 500 which I've never flown.

Have a Trex 450 SE I occasionally scare the crap out of myself with.

The simulators while emulating the actions of the heli perfectly, don't quite simulate the 1m high speed spinning disk potentially coming for your head.
