| Post subject: | Firefox vs IE7 |
So I doonloaded Firefox this week to avoid IE7-related scary stories. And I have to say I think on the face of it, it's much better. Certainly faster, more lightweight etc. What does anyone else think? Adam |

V Slow! Been using it for about 18monthsor so. It's much faster, has lots of useful linked in products such as a spell checker! Issues are it gets a lot of updates, mostly non-disruptive. |

Used to use it about 18 months ago also, developed too many glitches and conflicts for my likeing...............so binned

Latest version isn't comaptible with the old version of OSX on my eMac  Looks like I'll have to upgrade to Leopard

Other alternatives are Googles Chrome and Opera Anything is better than IE. Could always resort to links/lynx

Does anyone still use clunky stuff like IE? Browsers like Firefox are far superior on basis of tabbed browsing alone, let alone raft of other advantages. If I have to use IE on someone else's machine it seems kind of quaint by comparison. |
