Mark Webber retires end of 2016 season, it's a shame, great driver, and world champion..................................gonna do a Walter for Porsche, and coach up and coming talent. |

How interesting. Has talent. Makes a load of money. Chooses part-time work with a good (I'd guess) hourly rate. Fair play to him. |

Think he's doing his "talent spotting" and driver coaching directly for Porsche, something they have done for decades. I expect the contract he has will allow him to do indulge in some fun and lucrative sidelines too! I would also think he may be able to relax his, no doubt, stringent diet and fitness campaign a little, which he must have been living in for ages to comply with the seemingly never-ending pressure from the teams for drivers to be as light and small as possible. Mark is a big man, he must have found it very difficult to comply with this regime, and from the team perspective ,he was probably a difficult pilot to package into a multi driver campaign? |

Sounds like the crash in Brazil played a big part in his decision: http://www.dailysportscar.com/2016/10/1 ... a-wec.html |
