Just a quickie :- Has anyone used one ? With what sort of results ? Anyone used the Sealey 100amp ? |

What are you intending to use it for? I have a Sip one and use it for general repairs and body work, it works well for what I need to do. E bay is good for buying the wire. |

Cheers for reply, I was after something to do a bit of body / sill work, some reviewers mention excessive splatter but that could be down to anything. We have a big Snap on thing at work but I hate using it for finer stuff. It always feels like it is running away to quickly and forcing you along - even at slower wire speeds. |

The excessive spatter and inability to see your weld pool are purely down to the process, gasless mig is awful for car bodywork, I am a member of the mig-welding.co.uk forum and would recommend you looked on there. It also might of 25 years ago but I served my time as Nuclear welder so have a bit of background. IMO get a a s/h clarke gas mig to start with. The snap-on one's are a rebadged Italian machine as well, not US made. |
