My 19" Xerox flat panel monitor screen which is 2 1/2 years old goes black after about 1/2 an hour. If I turn it off and back on it goes black after a few seconds.

Is ist worth having it looked at or throw it in the skip?

Hi :)

Nobody repairs them...so skip....

Next one...make sure its got a 3 year swap out warranty...NOT a 1 year warranty...

All the best Brett :)

Yup sounds like the inverter is dead, shop around for a new 'un.
Worth looking at Dabs.com, Morgan Computing, Aria.co.uk & Scan.co.uk & ebuyer I've dealt with them all & all are OK.

anyone will tell you that the flux capacitor has gone...... to get it to work you are going to have to wire it up to the fuse board and wait for lightning to strike!

Or of course being a man of your means you can just go and buy a new one you tight fisted northerner!!!

Put it on ebay, you might get a few quid for the bits.

You could try replacing invertor/control electronics, for which generic modules are available, but will still be costing you along the lines of 50% of a new one.

Next Question.

My PC has a digital TV card in it which is pretty much next to useless most of the time.

Wanting to kill 2 birds with one stone any one know of a good TV that is also good as a monitor? Most have the pc socket in them.
