Why do we wait until a few days before ? Started to fit new bushes to my front wishbones today, Bloody mission getting the old ones out, new ones go in easy Then when tightening the castor mount I stripped the thread ![]() Wouldn't mind if I had overtightened but I had barely nipped it up |

Exactly I did the same on my brake caliper bolts on the 996 once, steel going into aluminium. Drill out and helicoil is the solution in that case but I'd guess yours is an external thread so a new item required? |

I've even put off my yearly oil and filter changes until after next weekend just incase something simple goes wrong ![]() |

No, the thread is internal You can re cut thread at next size up as the mount it goes through has very large holes to allow lots of adjustment. |
