The previous owner of my 911 turbo text me, asking if I still have her and would I sell her back? Caught me right off guard and surprised me. I've sent a message back saying I had never ever thought about selling and even if I did, I don't know how much I'd want?

It's been a hell of a week at work and next week isn't going to be any better when all my friends who didn't drive to Monaco for the F1 drive down to Le Mans for a week and I'm last at home because I'm busy at work, so I was seriously considering it. Why have such a good car that I'm not getting the time to enjoy any more?

Having slept on it however, I think the car is a keeper so there will be no sale. I think the car is for the times I can enjoy it and makes weeks like I've just had worth while when I do have time to drive it. I do fancy beating my top speed of 180 mph I've already done in it. It did stop me in my tracks and make me think for a while though. There is no way I could get a car I would enjoy driving as much as I do, for the money I'd get. :D

Anyone think I should have cashed in my chips and bought a cheap Boxster for fun? What would you have done if you could have had free supercar motoring for 2 and a half years? Remembering there is no right or wrong answer, it's all opinion.

Imagine a day where you've got the opportunity to drive the car, but you've sold it. How would you feel? In fact, that must be what the previous owner is feeling now.

I had a similar quandry recently. I intended to buy a Cayman S, but it would have meant selling my 944, but when it came down to it, I just plain didn't want to, despite a good offer from someone.

At least you don't have to sell, but have the luxury of a ready made buyer. Means you can take your time to decide.

Cheers,
Bryan

Circumstances can change but if you don't need the loot and it makes you smile, good decision :)

My view FWIW :-
He's obviously missing it and wishing he hadn't sold it. Lots on here have; me included - I was lucky in buying it back literally within a couple of hours :D
Damn pleased I did, wouldn't be without it now, its also "a keeper" even if I don't get to drive it as much as I like it's there ready in the garage for when I do have the opportunity (and preferably a fine day :) )
I recon you would certainly miss it if it went.
Clive

That's because it looks so much better than under your ownership Lindsay <g>!
