listening to ken bruce on radio 2 this morning and he read an email from someone who had read a listing on ebay re 2 dvd discs with lots of names, addresses and bank account details, how close to the truth could this get ? and how worrying for the 7.5 million families (myself included) involved. i'm lead to believe there are 3 sets lost, supposedly by a junior member of staff, so does this mean any employee has access to this unencrypted info, and other info possibly for the whole nation ! SCARY |

The Data Protection Act has amongst its obligations a requirement to ensure adequate security for data. From the Information Commissioner's website: Am I satisfied the information is being held securely, whether it's on paper or on computer? And what about my website? Is it secure? Is access to personal information limited to those with a strict need to know? I fairly certain they've breached their duties ![]() I'd complain but nothing would get done |
