After some time with my 964 and trying to get used to the foot controls being from a left hand drive and the steering wheel from a right and drive ( and the seat being inbetween!) I have decided to try a 996....... Wish me luck !

Ps its too late to mention ims or rms or overheating problems etc...... The deal is done!

Yep. Managed to swap my Merc for it. You know I like Tiptronic, but this seems to have an extra pedal just left of the brake. Not sure what its for but It seems to make gear changes quiter if i use it. Any ideas ?

Looks very nice.
If you switched the Merc for a 996 it sounds like you are a 2 porsche man?? Would be interested how a 996 cabriolet compares with a 964 targa? Which would you take on an Alpine tour??
