So I've monoblocked from the road to the back of my house and put a 6 inch concrete base down ready for my garage.........when I say "I", I actually paid a company with experience in these things to do it. I want the car to be covered for the winter, so the garage itself starts on the 29th of this month.

I can't wait to get a garage back, after my internal one was turned in a downstairs room for the monster in law. After I kicked her our, my daughter moved into that room, so I've had to face facts that it'll never be a garage again. I sure hope Santa brings me a ramp for Christmas. :D

Good luck, a good start.

I'm currently building a workshop with a small engine building room, general area including spray painting and a wood work section.

I have a classic mini and a 200 year old cottage to restore and this is needed to facilitate that, my wife thinks that the bedroom is a higher priority :D

It's timber frame on a few courses of brick, fully insulated with pitched metal roof and weatherboard cladding.

With TV, heating and laptop with internet (for workshop manuals and radio) once it's built I won't be leaving it :D

Thanks Guys, the gates are going up tonight so I'll have a few more photos tomorrow. I can't wait to get it in the air and the bumpers off for some winter cleaning.

Bumpers off for cleaning

That's like doing the dusting in your loft.

How's the man cave coming on lee? :bounce:

Took advantage of a clear day today, gave the garage a good tidy up, decided there is too much gardening or non car stuff so ordered a bloody great shed!!!, gave the car a clean now ready for going up on stands and get a good winter clean. :D :)

By the way hope you, your family, friends and colleagues were not caught up in the unlucky pub-v- helicopter incident last Friday night

Sounds great Lee, when its built make sure you get a nice smooth screed down and a few coats of a decent floor paint before the car goes in or the racking up, makes such a difference and no dust :D

Sorry for the delay, it's not been a productive time. I'm hoping to do some more this weekend, but snow is forecast. Maybe it's what I need and will keep me at home for a wee while. Still, the front and rear structure is up.

My wife phoned me.......apparently...........it's nature 1, Lee 0. The gusts of wind have bent part of it over........smashed the shed windows and blown my fence down. :(

Good point well made. I put the car between the buildings so it doesn't have a scratch. Garage is ok,a couple of screws will need drilled out and bolts put in, but all in all it's not that bad. I'm just glad I hadn't started putting the panels on. They would have buckled in the freakish weather.

The only problem now is time before new year to get it built? :(
