So a spur of the moment week and brought to an end.
I will let Ian explain further when he posts a new rides thread all about his latest toy, but needless to say its all my fault, he now rides about in a 944 S2 drop head.
After some very brief arrangements we agreed to meet at barnetby top garage a few minutes after 5. As a result of some playing earlier in the week we had discovered a light oil leak from my 944 at very high revs and on throttle lift. Not that dissimilar to a waste gate operation, shame Im lacking the turbo though.
So we sensibly set off up the A15 to check out my oil leak en route, unfortunately he saw it again even after I tweeked the pressure sender half a turn.

Arriving at the gathering we were waved straight in to the display (unlike some people eh bazzer), and I think in a move that took some real skill missed Robert and Susan with the 3ft high GYVW flag flying and parked two rows behind them........D'oh.
A fantastic section of cars were on display, I can why they feel the need to have the event over 4 hours. In the hour i was there I didn't manage to drool over everything I wanted and cars were still arriving when I left.
A selection from the show.

No I dont know why, generally i dont like MG's but this hit all the right buttons for me.

And I still have a fondness for GT6's

Heres our pair of thoroughbreds

And you dont see a marcos on the road very often these days! The mantis FH is in my dream garage

This may look at little silly with the red sparkles in the engine bay, but its true manaro, the engine version of the holdEn commodore and its a Walkinshaw special. A little know fact is he used to have a very large shed in gainsborough filled with silkcut jags, metro 6r4s. Nearly one of every car he had run during his life in motorsport. I will see if I can lay my hands on the photos again. R.I.P. Mr Walkinshaw

I caught a glimps of what I though was a mini panel van through the crowd, turned to the group and said "if he hasnt put a V8 in that then hes wasted the extra space"

A little something for the mole Model A rod

What I beleoved was a geneine 6r4

These TVR owners were found as you would expect to find any TVR owner, bonnet open, latex gloves and a handful of spanners.

And a very tidy JPS lotus, special championship edition
