It was good to see the Porsches winning their classes.
After 24 hours and over 300 laps of racing it is amazing that the cars are literally seconds apart.
R.I.P Allan Simenson who lost his life after a crash in his Aston Martin

We drove past the spot on Monday where there was already a floral tribute and flags hung over the new Armco. Nice show of respect that during the race the flag was flown at half mast, even amongst the flags over the grandstand , they had the national flag at half mast, very poignant against all the others fluttering in the wind.

Good result for Porsche, should be interesting having the proper LM car in there next year fighting with the Audis! Agree, shame about the Danish Aston driver, they continued to race as requested by his family, real shame a young family is now suffering too. Aston website was black with a message of condolence on Sunday with no links on it which I thought was very respectful. |
