Front screen got cracked on the Smax, so 2 AA vans turn up to fit new screen, to cut a long story short, correct screen ordered, wrong one supplied, guy showed me the invoice for the correct Infra Red screen ..... £2635+vat, over 3 grand for a bloody windscreen, and on £60 excess, he told me that they do an acoustic screen as well which is even more expensive

When they know its an insurance job (which most are) I am sure they apply the full 'retail' price, as opposed to the discounted price you would get if you ordered direct. I had an old invoice for my black 968 that showed Autoglass charged £4500 for a new rear screen, paid for of course by an insurance claim.

Is there any wonder our premiums keep going up . Its really the fault of the insurance companies for accepting these inflated invoices, then passing on the cost in the premiums we all pay
