Thats not a bad deal really, especially with the exhaust clamps and fixings as well as a couple of days hire of a Cayman. I could compete on the price, but not on the Cayman loan car!
Shame you did not get a chance to really use the Cayman. My customers always manage to find a way to really use the living daylights out of my loan cars, one of them needed 3 resprays in 18 months due to a multitude of minor scuffs and scrapes, another managed to have a head on collision and took out a Nissan Bluebird (A favour to us all) and one I seriously think has a massive magnet in the rear, as it has backed into several lamposts, been rear ended twice and one customer told us "I scratched the wing mirrors while parking" and we went out after he had gone to find he had beaten both wing mirrors clean off!!
Needless to say, I am not going to offer a Cayman anytime soon... Although I am thinking of buying a handful of Smart cars as loaners, simply because we can just pop off one panel to have it repainted, rather than the whole car going off!! May even keep a spare set of painted panels in stock to quickly swap over.
Something funny about some of my customers I guess, but thinking about it.... They have nearly all been Pistonheads forum members... Maybe I should check for a "How much can you mash a JMG loan car and get away with it" thread?
