The finished car looked nice, but if I was paying 30k I think I'd want something that wasn't done in 28 days. |

Sean Smallman wrote: It was a long hour and not sure what the American is doing on the show, other than sabotage. ![]() American accent etc, but claimed to be Italian. It was amusing if nothing else, and an example of 'if you're going to do it right do it properly' - i.e. they really should have got rid of the tacky sunroof. In different shots you could see next week's 911 being worked on, and the odd door or bonnet leaning against the wall. They were also working on a Mini, so maybe that's further down the line. It's a bit like a Brit version of Pimp my Ride but without the pimping..... or the sunshine! |

God what a appalling heap they ended up with. Even as a non-anorak wearing viewer I could see wrong bumper/engine/spoiler/colour etc. Bernie couldn't even get the rotor arm description right! Rotor arms go around at HALF engine speed! Only watched because it was a Porsche, Bernie is $%^%$ annoying as is the other plank, which will stop me watching in future. How much pudding did they use to fill the crash damage? Surprised RM Auctions got involved at the end in valuing it as well. £22k for that, not a cat in hells chance! This will end up the same way as the wheeler dealer 944 Turbo going around E Bay forever! |

It's a pathetically scripted soap opera with little technical information, and badly carried out work. So a service counts as cleaning the distributor? Did they even change the oil? Shoddy flaky paint on the doors. I felt sorry for the guy who sold it, although he shouldn't have left it to rot. |

Ch5 dismantled it quite extensively before you saw Bernie "Seeing it" It was a restoration project that he'd worked on quite a lot before he sold it. e.g. the cut & shut weld they were talking about was where the scuttle & windscreen frame had been repaired which is a standard rot point on 911s. |
