Hi All :)

A new Porsche website went live tonight , its been set up by Jeff
Maynard who some of you may know was kicked out of the PCGB for no
reason, as is about to happen to me lol :)

Its a good site and free with a decent amount of info on all models of
Porsche including 928s...

For any traders here ....it has free advertising for traders.....so worth a look .

Some may even see their cars in the changing pictures down at the bottom of first page :)

Web address...

http://www.purelyporsche.com/

Let me know what you think of the site and I will let Jeff know...

All the best Brett :)

The site looks nice & easy to navigate, but I've just registered, validated my e-mail address and logged on. But it still won't let me look at any of the members pages. It just keeps telling me I have to be a member to go on to those pages.

Also, it says that they have every roadgoing Porsche in the timeline, but they haven't even got the Porsche 944 S2. (One of the best selling models). :(

Is this site associated with G.T. Purely Porsche? I'm not sure they will be to happy with them using the name Purely Porsche, if it isn't. :?

Yep, I had the same problem so either the site has issues or is not fully live yet.

I don't think the site has any affiliation to GT Purely Porsche.

I've got a login, but not sure what it's trying to offer. List of Porsche suppliers, quick google done, lists of Porsche Models err, quick google. Looks to be a site that's a solution without a problem TBH.

I think it needs a members cars for sale section where people can post their ad and pic, as relatives keep asking me when am I going to buy a replacement car.

(They don't understand the concept of loyalty and that it's the only car of that colour, that women seem to love when combined with the driver's face..)

Hi again some more info from my antivir

HTML/Infected.WebPage.Gen

Description:
A common attack against the web infrastructure can be the infection of harmless web pages. Some malware changes every HTML file stored on the disc and adds a link (very often an IFrame) to a site hosting malicious code. Other attacks can aim for the web servers and try to insert forwarding to the pages hosted there. The owner of these pages is advised to take them offline. Fix the hole (either on his own PC or on the server), check the pages for infections, clean them and go online again. Infected Web Pages often contain additional Iframe, Object or Script Tags. The Script Tags often contain encrypted Code.

Version history:
The following engine updates were released in order to enhance detection:

• 7.04.01.62 ( 14/08/2007 )
• 7.06.00.40 ( 07/12/2007 )
• 7.06.00.84 ( 10/04/2008 )
• 7.08.00.58 ( 19/06/2008 )
• 7.08.00.64 ( 02/07/2008 )

Hope this helps.

Hi :)

Your anti virus is giving a false positive reading, its not unusual with cheap or free AV programs...

I have been to all pages on that site with the latest Norton 2008 and no false positives at all....

All the best Brett :)

P.S Using a Russian Anti virus program like ANTIVIRA is not the most reliable protection lol :)
