we nearly bought a house in Old Sodbury, Gloucestershire

There is genuinely a road in my village called The Knob.

This has got to have an adverse effect on property prices particularly if you live at the end of the road and you have to tell people to come to the end of the knob to get to your house.

It must be like living in a 'Carry On' film.

(I've been looking for an excuse to use this smilie for ages)

hi everybody,seems a lot of people live in some strange named streets or towns,but hey,i used to live in "fannies lane" in bucklebury common,near newbury some years ago,strangely enough we used to get a lot of flashers down there as well!!!

Near Faringdon in Oxfordshire there is a Great Coxwell and Little Coxwell

The place in Scotland called Twatt I know already thanks to someone on PH who posted a photo of his Porsche 996 in front of the sign pointing to the A996 straight ahead with his girlfriend next to the sign with the arrow pointing towards her in the direction of Twatt. Brilliant!
