I've been for past few years and I think it was an official Central event one year. Always lots of historic cars (and lorries - my fave last year was the Ecurie Ecosse jag transporter from 1950s). Will try to make it this year too

It's an official central event this year too - Sunday 26th :D

Thanks Paul. Been away so only got round to reading events list this weekend. Great that we're attending when focus is on Porsche. See you there or at assembly point (need to put my instrument pod together first after a job and it's extraordinarily fiddly to refit correctly!)

I went along to the show today, for me it was a bit disappointing.

Considering that Porsche was the featured Marque the organisers had done very little by way of displays and you had to scour the halls to find anything from Stuttgart. A couple of 962's a 956 and a Spyder hardly represent Porsche's 2800 victories in motorsport :roll:

It will be interesting to read others comments.

That's interesting Sean. I'm going tomorrow whatever but was looking forward to it especially based on description on the show's website of a big 956/962 display in Hall 2 and many Porsche rally and race cars Hall 1. Reality sounds so different.

Was a little disappointed to see tgat there doesn't seem to be an area devoted to classic car parking as in previous years, or am I confusing this with another show? That made me think they were becoming more corporate.

Will give my impressions after visit.

Maybe I missed them :? if they are there please take some photo's. :)

The drive for Hero's hire company had a couple of early 911 resto's in their display.

I also saw JK walking around and him leaving later at the back of hall 4 in his orange 914.

JK's is the 914-6 which came 3rd 1971 Monte Carlo. Will try to see it in action on rally stage today. Original driver Bjorn Waldegard will demo it
