What turned up at the TIPEC meeting tonight. Some guy complaining about a shed of a 944 he bought. I took it out a test drive and it couldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding..........


Only kidding. It did attract some attention. Guy is over the moon with it. First time I've been in the car and I have to say, I would have gave you the money for it.

Probably needs one of them generic chips you can get off Fleabay for £80 quid Lee that should sort out any issues

Good to see it's been bought by a real enthusiast at least. Have to say I'm looking at this with mixed emotions. That was the finest car I've ever owned. One of the best I've driven. Only thing that matters with these is condition. The S2 is not the holy grail of 944's. It's often forgotten that the lux was preferred to the turbo for road use when they first came out. Just picked up an Audi TDI even with 250lbs if torque. Well made but no character. Feels a slug after my old '44. But it didn't drop below 50mpg on the way back. Have to see if Wayne can improve it a bit..........
