Wow! What a fantastic Monoco F1 GP! I couldn't believe Hamilton's comments after the race:

I'm sure the McLaren PR machine will be going into overdrive to try to calm the situation after his comments. That's one frustrated driver. Lewis is normally the perfect PR man for the team. I've been reading tonight Hamilton may be hauled up in front of the FIA for bringing the sport into disrepute with his comments, even if they were meant as a joke.

I think Hamilton is a fantastic driver, always seems to get the best out of a car that is not performing it's best. I think he can be a bit over aggressive though sometimes. I know you don't win championships by driving nicely and an 'after you' approach, but I think he needs to calm down a little bit and stop his frustration from affecting his driving.

Good win for Vettel. Nice to see Alonso in the fight too!

I agree Ben.He is a brilliant driver but this is not the first time that he has shown that he is a poor loser.Quite simply he was beaten fair and square this weekend, starting in qualifying and due to his low grid position compounded in the race.He still needs to grow up a bit!("Maybe its because Im black"). Anyway, the race for the lead in the last quarter of the race was fantastic, three world champs in 1st 2nd and 3rd.Unfortunately it didnt go down to the flag but was very exciting while it lasted. :D .It seems to be down to tyres this year so I hope they make them less grippy from here on in! More power ,less grip! Thats the formula! :D

Sorry to say but I’ve gone right off Hamilton this year, what’s with the stupid earrings and he also needs to get new shaver, he’s an F1 racing driver not out of a boy band.

Just because he has got a World Championship under his belt (just the one) it doesn’t give him the right to think everyone should move over, he even put his hand up to Schumacher when Schumacher was defending his position.

To me he seems to think having a yellow helmet the others will move over like the effect Senna had, but Senna was and always will be a better driver in my view, he didn’t go off on one at the press (he just punched Eddie Ervine for overtaking him)

Hamilton is turning into the Rooney of the F1 World, he needs to take a look around him before he’s on his own, Button can teach him how to act after a bad day at the office as he should now be their number driver :D

You have a very valid point there Pete. Will the team stand behind him in light of the controversy, or will they reprimand him too?

Hi,

I notice that Lewis Hamilton has now apologised to both Massa and Maldonado after his ill-advised rant.

Everyones so PC and bland these days its nice to have a driver show some feeling. Hamiltons a racer good on him for still caring; he was going for passes, and wasn't the only one to try it up the inside of the hairpin. He can be too aggressive in certain situations but I think he's fair minded enough not to deliberately run people of the road, something both Schumacher and the now deified Senna both did.
