Hi there,

Forgive my ignorance and lack of decorum. This is my first time on this forum. It was suggested to me to come here, because I am purchasing a 1983 911 SC and would like to get a good warranty for the car. Does anybody know of a good company that does them? I would be every so grateful to know. Best Wishes,

I am not sure that any warranty policy on a car of this vinatge is worth the premium. Most will not cover wear and tear and only cover mechanical failure.

The majority of warranties will have age and mileage limits that will exclude a 911 of this vintage.

The best advice I can give is to have the car inspected before purchase to give you some peace of mind.

Hi Hugo,it would be good to see some pics of the sc,there are some very nice condition cars out there of that vintage but also a lot of rubbish made to look good!,i myself have a 1983 sc with lots of mods etc,i looked around for a good one and was very lucky in finding this one which i know was built back up from the ground,especially in the bodywork dept,so as Sean has mentioned if you are not sure what you are buying by yourself get someone who does to help,it saves so much money in the long run,best of luck.
