Don't see many Porsches on console games a lot except the 911 usually on likes of Forza, PGR or GT4/5. I've just been playing around with some retro console games this weekend and found a game called Chase HQ which had you chasing bad guys in your 928 police car from 1988. They changed it in later versions to a Nissan 300ZX, probably for the American market  I used to play this for hours down at the arcardes (remember them!) and on my Commodore Amiga. Was there any other car games with the older Porsches in, haven't seen a 944 in any games except Forza2/3. They've even got a classic 914/6 model in that :D

I like this one. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Namco-GT-Legends-PC-DVD/dp/B000AYCUS6/ref=pd_sim_vg_h__2_img
It has 911's 914/916 but no 944! Still a lot of fun. But needs a crack to run in Windows 7. It's good game though.

Playstation did Porsche Challenge, I think it was Playstation 1, and I have the game somewhere in the house. It's just racing Boxsters round various courses.

I do seem to remember seeing those now you've said it guys. Just remembered I had Test drive the Dual on my old old PC, 1989 actually, where you had to race a Porsche 959 or a Ferrari F40 up a mountain road through traffic and evading cop cars. Had the sequal aswell where you raced across California I think or maybe it was Miami, I can remember lots of sea and sand 8) 16 colour block graphics at there best with the tyre squeal sounding like nails on a blackboard :shaking2:
Whats brought this on is been playing the retro game room on Xbox360. Reliving my teen years from the 80's when a lot of our cars were new. My Meno-Porschal symptoms are coming back again

I seem to remember that you could drive a 944 turbo SE in the original Forza (original xbox) and there was a need for speed game that exclusively featured porsches. The Gran Turisimo games never had a licence to feature Porsche in the earlier versions but got round this by including RUF cars.

Loved Chase HQ!

Likewise, the Project Gotham (PGR) series lacked a Porsche license and included Ruf cars instead.
