I had to buy my own car - a £350 Mk1 Fiesta - green on the outside, brown on the inside. Mmmm! M&D paid £400 towards insurance in my own name (Christmas and birthday combined - two years running) and my lessons (in return for various chores). Got me on my way and started my own no claims nice and early.
