Mmmmm, with absolutely no disrespect to 911 owners does the new club logo not shadow a 911 type body, i love all incarnations of the 911, but was the roots of this club not based on 924/944 cars.

Contentious ?

Lets not forget that the owners of aforementioned vehicles set up the club, because of being snubbed and looked down upon by owners of "proper Porsche vehicles"

:?

Must admit, I wonder how many front engined owners are club members as opposed to rear engined?

Seems far more posts on the 924 944 968 section of the forum.

The number of owners for a specific model were not a consideration in choosing an iconic shape.

For the record there are more 911 owners largely down to the fact they have been in production for 49 years.

I think they were "snubbed and looked down upon" by members of another club? No one in TIPEC has ever commented on any car being front/mid/rear engined at any meeting/event/show that I've ever been to? We used to joke about the 928 being better than any other Porsche, but opinions change along with cars. Well mine does anyway.

I think the number of posts in the 944 section is a reflection on.....................................................................................the number of people who are members of the forum, not the club?

Is this really an issue for some people? I can't see it myself, I thought it was just a Porsche?
