I used to go to the rally every year at different places but it used to go all around the country, nowadays its just in Wales and even there there are restrictions on spectating.I used to watch people like Bjorn Waldegard,Simo Lampinen,Stig Blomqvist,Ari Vatinen,Tony Pond etc., and then came a young man called Colin Mcrae and he just electrified the rally scene.I was lucky enough to watch him for quite a few years before they moved the rally to Wales and he was always exciting to watch. In Sweden they have" Colins crest" which is a big jump which Colin used to do in style and is named in memory of him.Kimi Raikkonen has a long way to go till he can even be thought of in the same class as Colin. Also Colin drove a Ferrari at Le Mans and did very well indeed.Sebastian Loeb also drove at Le Mans and he too did a good race.My point is that some people seem to be able to go from one category to another and still win whilst other people win in one or two lower categories but when they move up to the bigger leagues they flounder.
